New Technologies In My Classroom
I teach Business Ed. classes at Apollo High School in St. Cloud. I have several classes but will incorporate a blog into my Business Law class. I will use this for summarization of articles and collaboration through comments to these summaries. I could also use a wiki for my Personal Finance class. In addition to this, I could incorporate use of podcasts into some of my computer software classes.

I think you will receive more quality writing for the students using blogging to create summeries - good thought.
ReplyDeleteWhat would the wiki be for in the finance class? How might you use the podcasts? Will you be supplying the articles for Business Law or will students find their own? Could you maybe incorporate google docs into some group projects?
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice first step. I think it would be overwhelming for you to try everything all at once. You can most likely add these things to you other classes as the year moves on if you see a place for them. cart, horse... -kimberly
ReplyDeleteIt's a great way to get kids involved with others thoughts and ideas. I think especially with these classes some of the kids can become a little imtimidated. This is a great way for kids to get their points across. Way to go Cathie!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've got a lot of ideas to get started. With all of these cool new tools on the web, your computer software class would be a cool place to introduce a lot of these to your students.
ReplyDeleteI think you will see increased motivation for students. Don't try to do too much!
ReplyDeleteI like that you are keeping it simple and not trying to do too much at once. I think I saw Barry asked about the Wiki- what do you think you could do with that?
