Reflection #3

1. Well...I'm not sure I'll attempt a podcast or vodcast this year, but I sure am glad that we learned how to use it and I'm aware of everything that goes into it.
2. The challenging part about what we've learned so far is that it's A LOT of information. At times it's overwhelming. Then I remember that I can go slowly and use one part now, another part next year or trimester, etc.
3. It was reaffirmed yet again that I need to do different things in my classrooms--just go slowly. The slowly part is for me!
4. I still need to research what my district will let me do and how I go about getting the computers usable for a blog.

  1. Keep up the good work! slowly works just fine. It is better to have a realistic expectation and speed up then to be diving in head first and fall on your face.

Remember this, it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!!?? just a thought, if you ask for permission, you open the door to "no", if you go ahead and do it, they need to have a good reason to stop you.

    Bingo!

The great ideas will stick with you and the extra stuff will fade out on its own. Go with something that works for you, that you can defend, and that engages your learners. That will motivate you to do more in the future.

I agree with Barry on the Permission issue. Have something to show, show it off, and let the administration see the value and professionalism of what you do. With all the pressure on schools to implement technology in learning by 2012, I think they'll be thrilled to see what you're capable of.
